From
Conservative HQ:
Establishment Republican Senator Lamar Alexander’s reelection
prospects continue to slide as Michael Patrick Leahy, co-founder of BEAT LAMAR,
announced today that two additional local grassroots groups, the
Nashville Tea Party and the newly formed Coalition for a Constitutional
Senate, will co-host the first BEAT LAMAR Forum, which will be held in
Nashville on Saturday, August 31, from 1 pm to 3:30 pm at a location to
be announced soon.
The purpose of the forum is to hear from announced and potential
challengers to Senate Lamar Alexander’s bid to obtain the Republican
Party’s nomination for United States Senate in the August, 2014 primary.
One announced candidate, Brenda Lenard, and two potential candidates,
Kevin Kookogey and Tim Burchett, have been invited. According to Leahy,
“Additional featured speakers may be added prior to August 31st, but our
current plan is to invite only these three.”
