The Nevada congressional district two special election is coming up on September 13.  Early voting for this election has already begun and will end on September 9.  The last day to request an absentee ballot in writing is September 6.   More links with information are below.

The court case involving the Nevada congressional district 2 special election has ended.  The Nevada Supreme Court has ruled that the political parties should choose their candidates to fill an open seat instead of having a primary.  This means that Mark Amodei will be the republican candidate on the ballot along with the democrat and other third party and independent candidates.  The special election is September 13.

     The Nevada Supreme Court will hear arguments in the case concerning the district 2 special election on June 28.  This is in response to a lower court ruling against the decision of the Nevada Secretary of State to have an open primary to fill this seat vacancy.  While the September 13 primary may or may not take place, candidates are in the process of filing to run for this seat.  Sharron Angle has pulled out of this race, but the list of candidates that have filed to run is here. ...
