As I have written previously,  the candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general were selected at the party convention in May.  This still leaves the state and local offices in which there is more than one candidate running.  The nominees for these races will be selected in the Republican primary to be held on June 11.       Virginia will hold its elections for local city and town officials on May 1.  Those needing to register to vote must do so before the deadline on April 9.    An unofficial list of local candidates can be found here or voters can go to this site to find out what is on their ballot for this election.
