Absentee Ballot Deadlines For Mississippi Primary Runoff Election August 23

August 3, 2011
     Based on the primary election results there are a few races in which no candidate received enough votes to avoid a runoff election on August 23.  If you need to vote absentee the last day to do that in person is August 20.  Mailed absentee ballots must be received by August 22.

Voter Registration Deadlines For Nevada District 2 Special Election

August 3, 2011
      The special election to fill the vacant Nevada Congressional District 2 seat will be on September 13.  Those needing to register to vote by mail must do so by August 14.  The last day to register to vote in person is August 27.  Below are some helpful links and a map of the district.

New York 9 Special Election Voter Registration Deadlines

August 3, 2011
     The special election to replace Congressman Wiener who resigned from his seat for the New York Congressional District 9 will be on September 13.  Mailed voter registrations must be postmarked by August 19 and in-person voter registration ends on September 2.  More information can be found below.

First Wisconsin Recall Election Is August 9 - Updated

      The first of two recall elections in Wisconsin will be on August 9.  If you live in these senate districts please be sure to get out and vote for your republican Senator from the list below.  Otherwise, the same democrats that fled the state will get more colleagues to undo the reforms passed under Governor Walker.  Go here to take a look at senate district maps and here to check your voting location.  Tea Party Express will be launching a tour in support of the republican candidate...

This Is The Best Deal We Could Get? Part 2

     Earlier this year, during the debate over the budget, the GOP leadership in DC made a deal with the democrats and told us it was the best they could do.  The cuts were not as big as originally promised, but that's all right.  What really mattered is that republicans could not be blamed for a supposed government shutdown.  Besides, the real fight would be waged during the debt ceiling debate and the next budget.  Well here we are with the debt ceiling and once again we are told this...
