First let me apologize for my mistake. I wrote a
previous post as if the general recall election was to be held yesterday July 12. Actually, that was a
primary involving democratic challengers. The winners will now move on to the recall election against the
republicans on August 9. Next week, on July 19 there will be two republican primaries and a general election. The general election has
David VanderLeest (R) running against district 30 Senator Dave Hansen (D). The primaries will feature
Kim Simac (R) and
Robert Lussow (R) will compete for the republican district 12 senate nomination in order to challenge State Senator Jim Holperin (D) while
Jonathan Steitz and
Fred Ekornaas will face off to see who goes up against State Senator Robert Wirch in district 22 in the general election on
