Sarah Palin: Congressional Freshmen – For Such A Time As This

Posted by Kal Vernon on Thursday, July 28, 2011, In : debt limit
From Governor Palin's Facebook page
Out here in proverbial politico flyover country, we little folk are watching the debt ceiling debate with great interest and concern. Today I re-read the open letter I wrote to Republican Freshman Members of Congress in November 2010, just days after they were ushered into office in an historic landslide victory due in large part to the activism of commonsense patriots who are considered part of the Tea Party movement. I respectfully ask these G...

Senator Reid Caves On Tax Increases Update: Conservatives Denounce Boehner's Plan

Posted by Kal Vernon on Monday, July 25, 2011, In : debt limit
Senator Reid has released his plan to deal with the debt limit and it is without any tax increases.  This is a great victory, but this plan is full of gimmicks that are not real cuts in spending.   Speaker Boehner has unveiled a two step plan requiring another vote to increase the debt ceiling next year. President Obama, meanwhile, is still intent on raising taxes and will be speaking on television tonight.  Expect the speech to be filled with more dire predictions of what will happen i...

Posted by Kal Vernon on Monday, July 25, 2011, In : The Undefeated
ARC Entertainment has just announced that "The Undefeated" will be available in the coming months on Pay per View, Video On Demand and DVD.  This is great news for all of those who don't live near an
AMC theater.  Until this happens there will still be limited screenings of the movie in theaters.  It seems reasonable that we will hear an update on that very soon.

Speaker Boehner Does Not Cave

Posted by Kal Vernon on Saturday, July 23, 2011, In : debt limit
Good news!  Speaker Boehner has stopped trying to negotiate directly with President Obama on a debt limit deal.  The bad news is that Boehner will now try to work out a deal with the Senate that just voted to table Cut, Cap and Balance.  The democrats in the Senate stand with Obama and even now want Boehner and the GOP to cave on tax increases.  Democrats refuse to see that our problem is spending and not taxes.  They believe that all money belongs to Washington D.C. and it is they who ...

Lame Duck President

Posted by Kal Vernon on Saturday, July 23, 2011, In : debt limit

Latest from Governor Palin:

After listening to the President’s press conference today, let’s keep in mind the following:

This is the same president who proposed an absurdly irresponsible budget that would increase our debt by trillions of dollars, and whose party failed to even put forward a budget in over 800 days! This is the same president who is pushing our country to the brink because of his reckless spending on things like the nearly trillion dollar “stimulus” boondoggle. T...

Senate GOP Failing Us Again - Update Boehner Prepares For Compromise

Posted by Kal Vernon on Thursday, July 21, 2011, In : debt limit
Here we are in the midst of the debate over the debt limit and surprise, there are republicans in the Senate undercutting conservatives again.  Senator McConnell formed a plan to allow the debt limit to be raised without any cuts in spending at all which will not save our credit rating.  Now some GOP senators are on board with the Gang of Six plan which raises taxes while possibly gutting defense.  Yes you read that correctly.  There are GOP senators now in support of tax increases w...

Good Weekend For "The Undefeated" - Updated Again

Posted by Kal Vernon on Saturday, July 16, 2011, In : The Undefeated
"The Undefeated" is doing well in its opening weekend according to various reports.  Andrew Breitbart says that it is #2 at AMC behind the Harry Potter film.  In the interview below Steve Bannon says that AMC is happy with the response to the movie so it is reasonable that we can expect more theaters to show the movie soon.  Be sure to vote for a theater nearest to you.  "The Undefeated" is changing the minds of some of her critics.  Be sure to recommend Governor Palin's books to an...

Wisconsin Recall Elections Update

Posted by Kal Vernon on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, In : Elections
First let me apologize for my mistake.  I wrote a previous post as if the general recall election was to be held yesterday July 12.  Actually, that was a primary involving democratic challengers.  The winners will now move on to the recall election against the republicans on August 9.  Next week, on July 19 there will be two republican primaries and a general election.  The general election has David VanderLeest (R) running against district 30 Senator Dave Hansen (D).  The primaries will feat...

Obama Brings Out The Fear Card Again

Posted by Kal Vernon on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, In : debt limit
Things have been going well in the negotiations on the debt ceiling so far.  Speaker Boehner is still saying he will not cave on tax increases despite the dire rhetoric of the democrats.  In his desperation, President Obama has now once a again dragged out the democrat scare tactics and is threatening to hold social security, military personnel and others hostage over the debt ceiling just as he did when they were negotiating the 2011 budget.  Senator McConnell has now floated a plan...

Sarah Palin: The Sugar Daddy Has Run Out of Sugar; Now We Need New Leaders

Posted by Kal Vernon on Sunday, July 10, 2011, In : Sarah Palin
Sarah Palin via Facebook:
Barack Obama’s big government policies continue to fail. He should put a link to the national debt clock on his BlackBerry. The gears on that clock have nearly exploded during his administration. Yesterday’s terrible job numbers should not be a surprise because it all goes back to our debt. Our dangerously unsustainable debt is wiping out our jobs, crippling our economic growth, and jeopardizing our position in the global economy as the leader of the ...

There Will Be No Primary For Nevada District 2 Special Election

Posted by Kal Vernon on Saturday, July 9, 2011, In : Elections
The court case involving the Nevada congressional district 2 special election has ended.  The Nevada Supreme Court has ruled that the political parties should choose their candidates to fill an open seat instead of having a primary.  This means that Mark Amodei will be the republican candidate on the ballot along with the democrat and other third party and independent candidates.  The special election is September 13.

Time To Contact Congress Again

Posted by Kal Vernon on Thursday, July 7, 2011, In : debt limit
President Obama and Congress are meeting today to attempt to work out a deal on the debt ceiling.  As usual the democrats are pushing for tax increases to cover all of the spending they have run up over the last few years.  Although the republicans have repeatedly said that tax increases are off the table, we have seen them cave before and we must not take the chance that they will do it again.  Contact your congressman and senator today to let them know that any vote to raise taxes ...

Media Making Things Up: “Tears” and “Rages” During “The Undefeated”? Really?

Posted by Kal Vernon on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, In : The Undefeated
Sarah Palin's latest Facebook post:
Obviously we’ve seen our share of media lies, but the latest fabrications circulated take a big slice of the cake. The UK Daily Mail reports that I was “in tears” as Todd “rages over Hollywood stars ripping” me in the new film “The Undefeated.” Huh? Really? The beautiful town of Pella, Iowa, was flooded with an army of media covering the premiere of this film. You’d think someone would have caught those tears and rages on tape, rig...
